GooglePay Introduction

GooglePay is a mobile payment and e-wallet service platform launched by Google, compared with traditional card payments, its core features include:

  • More Convenient: supports online (e.g., YouTube, Chrome and cooperative e-commerce platforms) and offline NFC contactless payment, users can quickly complete the transaction through their cell phones after binding their bank cards, without the need to carry a physical card;

  • More Secure: Adopting virtual account number instead of real card number transmission, combined with device encryption (e.g. fingerprint/facial verification) and EMV payment protocol, significantly reducing the risk of information leakage;

  • Higher Conversion: Bank cards and other cards are already bound to the user's device, eliminating the need for the user to enter the card number and enhancing the user's willingness to pay.

GooglePay is currently mainly used on Android devices, with wide coverage in Europe, the United States and some Asian regions.

Note:

GooglePay does not support WebView inner pull-up.
